Employment screening or employee screening is the process of looking up official and public records about a person. It is often done when someone applies for a job. It is almost always performed for those that require high security or positions of trust like a school, hospital, bank, airport, in law enforcement, etc.

Employment Screening Questions To Help You Hire The Best
When it comes to effectively hiring the best for the position, it is vital you come up with stringent employment screening questions. Not that you want to scare prospects away, but you want to make sure you hire the best that are available. You want to ask questions regarding their previous employment history, criminal history, health history and questions on their goals.
For the prospect's previous employment history, ask them what jobs they have had in the past and what the names of their employer's were. In addition, ask them how much they made and what the reason was for them leaving. You want to find out why they are not at those jobs anymore and why they are pursuing your company.
The next employment screening questions you want to target is their criminal history.; Ask them if they have been arrested or convicted for any crimes in the past. If they have been arrested, what crime or felony do they have? Aside from just crime, ask them about their credit report and whether they have ever experienced bankruptcy.
The last questions you will want to ask the prospective employee about is their medical history. Ask them if they have ever been hospitalized, and if so, what for. Also, ask them how many days they were absent from their previous job for health reasons. This will let you know what you can expect of them coming into the job.
Hiring is not always the easiest part of the job. It is up to you to find the people best qualified for the position. Asking the right employment screening questions will allow you to find someone that will better the team as a whole.

i wanted to run a crimminal and employment check on myself, so when i went on, i saw my name and mothers name listed as a relitive which made me believe that had info on me. so i paid the 77.00 dollars. found nothing, and i know i have a few criminal charges from about 5 years ago.
and nothing came up which should be impossibe, no employment records, no criminal records, nothing. as if i didnt exist. i called customer service and was told they'd give me a FREE search!
to which i answered if im not there why do i need a free search? and they just kept talking as if reading off a script how they;d give me a free search and what a valuable tool it is. "not for me if you don;t have any info on me"! i wanted a refund and then they just kept repeating they're NO REFUND POLICY! finally after speaking to 3 different supervisors telling them that it is false advertising if you have my name there to make it look "as if" you have my records, and then don't. so after close to an hour of this they finally agreed to refund my money in 10 days. why 10 days when it had only been 10 min.(when i first asked for the refund the first time. anyway, we will see if i get my money back. but i suggest not using thid fraudulent site. ill keep you all posted.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!
Although Intelius is a reasonable search engine for $1.95, Intelius very deceitfully, in small print will enroll you in their ID Protection Program for $19.95 a month. If you do not scutinize your charge card statement they will continue to charge you $19.95 a month. This identical thing happened to a Wells Fargo Bank employee who works in the charge card department and she has received numerous complaints about Intelius unauthorized billings to customer charge cards. So do not use Intelius but if you must then be sure to check your charge card statement monthly.
